What Dr. Seuss Was Really Thinking

I have always maintained that Dr. Seuss had a political agenda. Even though his stories are meant for children, it’s often the parents that do the reading. Metaphors for ethical, environmental and racial issues can be found in his books.

I love his rhyme and his melody. Pull it together with silly illustrations and suddenly, all of society’s ills are exposed. Its genius. Humorous.

What do you think would happen if we explained the hidden meaning of Dr. Seuss books to our kids? Most likely it would suck the fun right out of reading.  Save it for satirists and cynics like me.

If Dr. Seuss was able to give his books adult titles, this is what they would be. I found them on imgur.com and the credit goes to BuzzFeed.
