First, use painter’s tape to cover the soles of the shoes.
Apply paint as a base coat to each shoe. For Poppy, paint a light pink face, hot pink hair and the rest of the shoe a blue, like her dress. For Branch, paint a grey face, black hair and the rest of the shoe a green, like his vest.
Once the shoes are dry, paint Poppy and Branch’s faces onto the fronts. If you don’t trust your freehand skills, try this tip! Use the faces templates, flip over and rub the areas with your pencil to apply the graphite to the paper. Flip it over and place it on the shoe. Outline the templates on the template again. This should transfer the graphite you added to the back of the template onto the shoe.
Trace again on the shoe, if you want it darker as a guide.
Use a fine tip paintbrush to paint these facial features onto the shoe.
If desired, paint additional detailed elements, such as the details from Poppy’s dress onto the blue area of the shoe and leaves of Branch’s vest on his shoe.
While the painted elements are drying, cut out the felt shapes from the Trolls Shoe Template in the coordinating felt colors.
You’ll also want to cut long triangular pieces of tulle and a green piece of felt for Poppy’s headband.
Glue all the elements onto the shoe, adding the tulle inside on the tongue. Remove the painter’s tape.
When worn the tulle will stick out of the top of the shoe for a hair raising effect!
Lady Glittersparkles herself would happily remove her roller skates and sport these shoes featuring Poppy and Branch.
Throw on these kicks to celebrate at a Tolls themed Birthday Party or for Halloween paired with a Trolls Headband or DIY Trolls costume, or wear them any day of the year for 365 days of happiness and cheer!
