Feeling nostalgic this Halloween? Time hop back to the 80’s. We’ll show you how to pull together a few components to transform into everyone’s favorite art teacher, Bob Ross. He said it best on The Joy of Painting, ” Any time ya learn, ya gain.” Check out some more of his inspiring words so you can talk the talk. DIY this awesome Bob Ross so you can walk the walk. “Even if you’ve never painted before, this one you can do.”
You don’t need much. Some closet basics, art supplies a few things from our shop.
- Afro Wig
- Beard (optional)
- Spirit Gum Adhesive
- Paint Brush
- Paint Palette
- Multiple Colors of Paint (optional)
- Blue Oxford Shirt
Once you have all of your items together the look is nearly ready to wear. We enhanced our painter’s palette with color to make it look used. This is an optional step to add another level of detail.
We took scissors to our Afro wig and used spirit gum to adhere the trimmings as a beard. If you don’t feel confident in your hair styling ability, you can buy a pre-made beard.
Get dressed, pick up your props and the look is complete!
